Sophisticated and simple - only 9 mm thick!
A Safir glass heater is only 9 mm thick. In transparent or semitransparent versions you can see the walls through the heater. It gives you an exiting effect and invites many solutions for use and placement.

Glass and heat
The heater consists of two 4 mm thick glass sheets bounded together to make a single product. The conducting layer is situated on the front of the rear sheet. The front sheet provides electrical and mechanical  protection and can be coloured or decorated as desired. The current passes through collectors on each of the short sides. These are connected to the mains and screened by a continuous edging strip in a matching colour to the glass.

Regulation of room temperature with Safir heaters
You regulate the room temperature from a separate room thermostat. You can also obtain additional energy saving by activating a set-back temperature during the hours rooms are not in use. To activate the set-back temperature you can use the NOBØ Orion 512 Time Control System
In March 2001, the heaters can be ordered with a built in thermostat.

Pilkington Ltd. in England has developed the electric conducting glass, while NOBØ has added the heat know-how.  The result: A glass electric heater.

Colours and decorations
Safir can be delivered with different colours and decorations, i.e. customised company logo.

Mounting
The Safir glass heater emits a uniform flow of comfortable radiated heat from its hole surface and is therefore equally suitable for vertical or horizontal mounting. This permits many exiting uses and locations. Due to the sitting of the wall fixings, these two variants must be ordered separately.
Floor fixing brackets can be ordered separately for the horizontal mounted heater.

Electrical connection
The heater must be connected to the mains by an installer

Temperature cut-out
For your own safety the heater is equipped with dual temperature cut-outs. If the heater is covered, they will disconnect the power connection.
